Air means the thrilling experience of tranquil travel. However, this time, a group of passengers faced a terrible experience on that flight. The door of the plane flew into mid-air. A video of such a horrific incident has gone viral on social media.

On January 6, a report by the Indian media NDTV said that the door of the plane flew in mid-air. A few minutes into the flight, the plane encountered such a situation.

The plane flying the door belongs to Alaska Airlines of the United States. It made an emergency landing after encountering such conditions. The plane took off from Portland Airport on Saturday.

Passengers also recorded the video of the plane’s door being detached on their mobile phones. It was seen there; a door in the middle of the plane was completely blown off in the sky. The video clearly showed the situation outside through the door.

Alexa Airlines stated on the social media platform X that flight S1282 was traveling from Portland to Ontario, California. It encountered this phenomenon after taking off. At that time, there were 171 passengers and six crew members on board. The plane later landed safely at Portland Airport. The matter is under investigation.

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said they are continuing to investigate the Alexa Airlines incident.

Flightradar24, the website for monitoring the schedule of the plane, said that the plane was at an altitude of 16,000 feet. It later changed direction and returned to Portland Airport.

The plane whose door flew off in mid-air was a Boeing 737 Max model. Boeing handed over the aircraft to Alexa Airlines on October 1, 2023. The aircraft started its official passenger transport on November 11. “FlightRadar24” said that the aircraft has operated 145 flights so far.
