Biman Started Hajj Flights From CTG

Biman Bangladesh Airlines started operating Hajj flights from Chittagong yesterday, May 14. On Tuesday at 3:45 am, the first flight of Biman took off with 398 pilgrims on the Chittagong-Madina route.

Earlier, Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation, formally inaugurated the Chittagong-Madina Hajj flight at Shah Amanat International Airport where he exchanged greetings with the Hajj pilgrims.

This year, a total of 22 flights, operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, will fly directly from Chittagong to Saudi Arabia. Of these, 20 flights will go directly to Jeddah and two flights will go to Madinah. A total of eight thousand passengers will perform Hajj on these 22 flights.

At the opening ceremony, Mohammad Salauddin, Biman’s Director of Marketing and Sales; Group Captain Taslim Ahmed, Director of Chittagong Airport, including some others spoke at the Haj flight inauguration ceremony under the chairmanship of the commercial officer of Biman Mohammad Shahadat Hossain.
