Md Shahdat Hossain, Biman‘s Chattogram District Manager, has announced that this year’s maiden Hajj flights from Chattogram will start on 14 May.
This year, pilgrims will be transported for the maiden Hajj via a total of 22 direct flights which will be operated from Chattogram to Saudi Arabia starting in the middle of May.
Md Shahdat Hossain, Chattogram District Manager of Biman, has confirmed that 419 pilgrims will be flying via Boeing 717 in Biman’s fleet which will be departing from Shah Amanat International Airport for Madinah at 3:50 am on 14 May.
He also added that the total number of flights carrying pilgrims taking off from Shah Amanat International Airport, Chattogram, for Saudi Arabia is 22.
20 out of these 22 flights will fly directly to Jeddah and 2 will fly to Madinah.
However, the first flight from Dhaka carrying pilgrims to Saudia Arabia will take off on 9 May and the next flights will depart according to the schedule.
