Saudi Arabia Allows all Visa Holders to Perform Umrah

According to the latest news, Umrah, the minor pilgrimage, can now be performed at the Grand Mosque in Makkah by anyone with any kind of visa.

As per the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, “Umrah can now be performed effortlessly from any location, regardless of the entry visa type, ensuring convenience and peace of mind.”

The Ministry went on to say that participation in Umrah rituals is permitted for all visa types, including personal, family, transit, labour, and e-visas.

The Saudi Ministry advises using the Nusuk app to obtain Umrah permits for a smooth and trouble-free Umrah trip. Moreover, it is highly recommended that pilgrims adhere to the precise timings for rites at the Grand Mosque.

June 6, or the 29th of Dhu al-Qa’dah, is the deadline for Umrah pilgrims to travel for the current year, 1445 AH.

According to reports, Saudi Arabia has added several amenities for foreign Muslims travelling for the Umrah.

Apart from the latest notification about visa holders’ eligibility for Umrah, there are a few more crucial details that pilgrims starting this holy voyage should know. First and foremost, it is imperative to make sure in advance of the trip that all required travel documents, like passports, visas, and Umrah permits, are in order. These can be obtained using the Nusuk application. To ensure a meaningful and spiritually gratifying experience, travellers should also get familiar with the special rites and traditions related to Umrah.

In addition, it’s crucial to respect the sanctity of the holy sites and stick to the rituals’ schedule at the Grand Mosque in Makkah when performing Umrah. The pilgrims should also observe all regional traditions and customs, dress modestly, and conduct themselves with decency at all times.

Furthermore, pilgrims are urged to stay updated on any travel recommendations issued by the Saudi authorities, given the importance of their health and safety.

Finally, travellers should be ready for the physical demands of the Umrah, which could include a lot of standing and walking in congested places. It’s a good idea to bring everything you’ll need, drink enough water, and take breaks when required while travelling.
