Nepal has introduced e-Visa facility for Bangladeshi citizens. From now on online electronic travel authorization (ETA) will be given to Bangladeshis instead of a visa sticker or handwritten visa.

The information about the Nepal e-Visa facility was made public through a circular on the official Facebook page of the Nepal Embassy in Dhaka. The Nepal Embassy has launched the ETA system from August 24.

According to the notification, visa stickers or handwritten visas will no longer be issued to Bangladeshi applicants for travelling to Nepal. From Sunday, August 27, the Nepal embassy had started offering ETAs online.

Even if an ETA is issued instead of a visa sticker or handwritten visa, the visa application process and other prerequisites will remain unchanged and must be followed accordingly, the embassy said.
