The two-day 10th Bangladesh Book Fair, Literary and Cultural Festival is starting today Sunday (September 4) in London.
This year’s book fair is dedicated to the memory of journalist Abdul Ghaffar Chowdhury, who passed away recently.
Amartya Sen, the first Bengali Nobel laureate in economics, will attend the book fair as a guest. Poets and writers from different parts of the world including Europe, America, Bangladesh will come and join this book fair.
The book fair will run Today from 2pm to 11pm and Monday, September 5 from 2pm to 10pm at The Art Pavilion in East London’s Mile and Park.
Poet Maynur Rahman Babul, President of the Combined Literary and Cultural Committee, said that after a break of two years during the Corona period, we have tried our best to organize a fair that is beautiful and public.
15 reputed publishing houses of Bangladesh are present in the fair with direct stalls. There will also be short papers and poets’ own books and books from various publications. This fair serves as a golden opportunity for our book lovers in diaspora, as well as a wonderful bridge of mutual communication.
