During the weekend (Fri-Sat), the longest Cox’s Bazar beach in the world was packed with tourists, which is still noticeable today (July 31).
Tourists are having fun at Sugandha, Labani and Kalatali points of the beach since morning.
Those concerned say that this tourist gathering is due to the weekend and favourable weather. However, the number of tourists as well as locals is not less in today’s gathering.
On Friday (July 29) afternoon at Labani Point of the beach, Bengali film hero Riaz was seen roaming on the beach in an open jeep. And many tourists are running after this fleet.
An event has been organized at Labani Point to mark the release of Taylor’s film ‘Operation Sundarban’, based on RAB’s raid to rid the Sundarbans of bandits. Because of this, many people think that the number of tourists on the beach is high.
Additional Police Superintendent of Tourist Police. Rezaul Karim said that the number of tourists is relatively high at different points of the beach since morning. In total, there were about 50 to 60 thousand tourists during the two days of the holiday.
He said that the tourist police is vigilant so that the tourists do not get harassed. Apart from this, there is extra vigilance to ensure that tourists are not harassed by anyone, including beach bikers and photographers.
