Govt Plans to Construct Airport in Noakhali

The Bangladesh government has a plan to build an airport in Noakhali, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Mahbub Ali has said.

The state minister revealed the information while inspecting the proposed site of building the airport at Charshulukia in Sadar upazila this morning.

He said, “The site has been visited earlier by people from the ministry. We came here again today to visit as per instructions of the prime minister. The government has a plan to build an airport. We are trying to meet the expectations of Noakhali people.”

“We have visited the entire area, including the runway,” he said.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry’s Secretary Md Mozammel Hossain, Bangladesh Tourism Board Chief Executive (Additional secretary) Zabed Ahmed, Noakhali-6 (Hatiya) lawmaker Ayesha Ferdaus, Deputy Commissioner Md Khorshed Alam Khan, Noakhali District Awami League unit Convener Khairul Anam Chowdhury Selim, Prime Minister’s Personal Assistant Md Zahangir Alam were present, among others.
