On March 31, US-Bangla Airlines performed a successful test flight of their new 436-seat big Airbus A330-300.
With 210 workers and employees on board, the aircraft took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 4:00 p.m.
Within thirty minutes, it made its landing at Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport and took off again for Dhaka.
According to a press release, passengers cheered the successful test flight from both destinations.
The airline intends to use Airbus A330-300 aircraft to conduct regular flights on routes like Dhaka-Dubai and Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur.
Additionally, they want to start operating flights on the Dhaka-Jeddah route as soon as possible.
The US-Bangla fleet now includes 23 aircraft, including the addition of the Airbus A330-300. Currently, the private airline uses nine Boeing 737-800, ten ATR 72-600, three Dash 8-Q400, and one Airbus A330-300 aircraft for operations.
According to the press release, efforts are also underway to add another Airbus A330-300 to the fleet.
