VFS Global Sweden, in partnership with the Swedish Embassy in Dhaka, has begun issuing visas for Belgium, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, and Sweden from December 10.
The notification was released in a note on December 8 by the Swedish Embassy in Dhaka.
According to the announcement, starting on December 17, VFS Global and the Swedish Embassy in Dhaka will be implementing a visa appointment system for Schengen visa applications to Belgium, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, and Sweden.
To apply for a Schengen visa in Dhaka, all applicants must schedule an appointment in advance with VFS Global. Applications submitted in person will no longer be accepted. The applicant must reserve the appointment time; see the notification for more details.
When the applicant schedules an appointment, VFS Global will charge a service fee. If the applicant cancels the appointment less than 24 hours prior to the booked time slot or fails to show up for the appointment, the fee will not be reimbursed.
Additionally, they advised candidates to schedule an appointment with VFS Global Sweden in Dhaka only if they intend to travel to Belgium, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, or Sweden.
