British Airways has announced the latest modification to its Executive Club loyalty programme which included making every flight available from just £1 plus Avios.
British Airways, One of the leading airlines and the flag carrier of the United Kingdom, has decided to make every one of its flights available to Executive Club members from just £1 plus Avios to provide them with even more options while using their Avios.
Avios part payment feature helps passengers reduce the cost of travel bookings by selecting the amount of Avios they would like to use while booking flights or holidays.
Previously the maximum amount of discount a customer could avail varied due to many factors. However, now customers will be able to reduce their booking to only £1 by using Avios.
Using Avios part payment and booking a Reward Seat is completely different. The number of reward seats is limited on each flight at a fixed rate. On the other hand, Avios part payment provides Members with more flexibility by enabling them to use any amount of Avios to book any flight regardless of the seat type.
Colm Lacy, Chief Commercial Officer at British Airways, said: “We’ve listened to our Members’ feedback and we’re really excited to be introducing this latest update for them. We know that most of our customers choose the lowest cash amount when it comes to making Reward Flight bookings, so we anticipate this to be a popular option for those using Avios part payment too. Ultimately, our goal is to keep adding more choice and flexibility for Members.”
This same offer of Avios part payment was introduced last year by British Airways Holidays, with holiday package bookings starting from £1 + Avios.
Members who pay with a portion of their Avios toward their reservation will still accrue Avios and Tier Points for their flight, in addition to any bonus Avios and Tier Points that may be available. Additionally, American Airlines flights between the UK and North America and British Airways codeshares with specific partners are eligible for part payment.
