Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Muhammad Faruk Khan has expressed his intentions to discuss the possibility of establishing direct air connectivity between Dhaka and Manila, the capital of the Philippines, for carrying passengers and cargo. He is very interested in launching Dhaka-Manila direct flights.
He expressed his interest in establishing air connectivity between Dhaka and Manila through the establishment of Dhaka-Manila direct flights when he was called for a meeting by the Philippines ambassador to Bangladesh Leo Tito L Ausan.
The minister of civil aviation announced during the meeting that he would soon order the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) to amend the two countries’ outdated air service agreement.
The ambassador stated that he would urge financiers in the Philippines to invest in Bangladesh’s tourism sector because the nation is a top travel destination due to its stunning scenery, rich cultural legacy, and rich history.
The minister gave the ambassador his word that businesses from the Philippines would get all the help they needed to invest in Bangladesh.
According to the statement, Faruk Khan anticipated that working together in the upcoming days will help the relationship between Dhaka and Manila become more solid.
